JOURNEY WITH GORAN

Summer may not be here yet, but this is the time of year when we start dreaming about vacation time, imagining worlds, adventures, and encounters. This is also the thought behind the episode of Stories airing Sunday, May 7th – the last one for this first part of the season – which will take us “On a Journey with Goran”. Vito Robbiani’s story will focus on the sounds and rhythms of Goran Stojadinovic, a Serbian musician who came to Switzerland many years ago and is now split between two homes, two worlds both distant and close at the same time, which he tries to bring together and make dialogue through the songs of the Balkan Lovers. Music then becomes a way to discover and connect different cultures, and also to know oneself in a special way: a testimony that also comes from the biography of this episode’s guest, Pippo Pollina, a singer-songwriter who left Sicily and arrived in Zurich after traveling throughout Europe, always pursuing a specific idea of rhythm and sonic identity.
